So for those of you who don't know... tomorrow night is the NBA draft... a time of the year that I really look forward to... we get to try and predict picks, and imagine what our raptors are gonna look like... I know, I know, I'm a nerd...

This year is extra special, though, cause for the first time ever, the raps have the first overall pick... wooohooo!!!

So, here are some rumors and things that I've heard, some that I hope are gonna happen, and others that I hope won't...

Bargnani... I'm not a huge fan of this guy... especially if we have to take him at #1... it's too much pressure on a guy who has never played with the talent from the states... he could be amazing, or he could be a bust... I'd rather not go with him...

Aldridge...  same sort of deal... this guy will play a lot bigger, so in my mind, he's already a better pick then Bargnani... the only thing is that I don't see him becoming a star... and isn't that what we really want from our pick??? the chance of picking a real superstar?

Morrison... does anyone else see an old perv when you look at him... I dunno though, I really see the potential for him to become a superstar in this league, he just scores so much... and that's what wins in the NBA...

Gay... now this is the guy that I want to get... I see him being a real super star... he's got so much potential, and I really think that he can reach it... it's sorta like CV when he first came to Toronto...everyone was hesitant about him... saying that he was lazy and all... I really think that Gay is in the same sort of mould..

As for trades... I hope that we're able to trade down and grab either Gay (my personal choice) and Bargnani (I think he'll do much better if picked lower)... but I have heard an amazing trade... Ray Allen and the 10th pick for CV and MoPete... I say if this trade is out there... we do it right away... no questions asked...

I dunno... that's enough from me for now... I'll write another entry in a couple days when we find out what happened with the draft... until then...

So, I saw this poem on a website that I visited just now...

Interview with God

I dreamed I had an interview with God

"So you would like to interview me? God asked
"If you have the time" I said
God Smiled, "My time is eternity"
"What questions do you have in mind for me?"
"What surprises you about humankind?..."

God answered...
"that they get bored with childhood
they rush to grow up and then
long to be children again

that they lose their health to make money
and then lose their money to restore their health

that by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
such that they live in neither the present nor the future

that they live as they will never die,
and die as if they had never lived."

God's hand took mine
and we were silent for awhile
and then I asked...

"As a parent, what are some life's lessons You want Your children to learn?"
God replied with a smile
"to learn that they cannot make anyone love them.
what they can do is let themselves be loved

to learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.

to learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.

to learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love
and it takes many years to heal them

to learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness

to learn that there are people who love them dearly,
but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings

to learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently

to learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others
but that they must forgive themsleves

and to learn that I am here... Always."

So...

I really haven't written in a while... mostly cause I was so frustrated and not motivated to do anything... I would get up every morning and sit in front of the computer furiously searching for jobs.  Partially motivated by me, but mostly motivated by my desire to appease both my parents and Pauline's parents, this went on for more than 5 months...

But... God is great... regardless of the situation, He'll make it into an amzaing learning process... It wasn't until I really wanted a job and was desperate for a job that He provided... Just like it isn't until we are desperate for Him that we will find Him...

I am truly blessed and I thank Him everyday for the amazingness that is Him... Let's all never forget to give thanks, even when times seem tough...
